Owners - Michael & Joy Knotts- First we give all the glory to God for allowing us to take on this venture in life. We have lived in Southport and Oak Island since 1988, Michael was the General Manager for Hardee's of Southport from June 1988 - June 2008. " I have always wanted to own my own restaurant, but I was afraid to make that first step." Finally in May of 2008, it was time to start a new adventure, so we opened Knotts Landing Cafe & Grill on June 23, 2008. We have made alot of improvements in the few months that we have been opened, and we are already gearing up for a fantastic 2009. Thanks to all our patrons for keeping us in business through these rough winter months. 

Barbara Loerzel- Business Partner-  Barb came onboard as my business partner in Oct 2008. We met Barb and Dan when they started attending Beach Road Baptist Church, Barb has always wanted to do something like this too, so I call her my angel sent from heaven.

Corporate Chef / Kitchen Manager- Gary Reaves -   Gary's career started here in Southport, NC. at the Ships Chandler Restaurant, down on the waterfront in 1982. In 1986 he moved to the Sandfiddler restaurant as their Kitchen Manager until he moved to Raleigh, NC. in 1991, where he started Salt and Pepper Catering. From 1996- 2008,  Gary worked for Bennigan's, Jasper's and Courtney's restaurants filling the positions as Kitchen Manager and Corporate Chef. Gary then decided to move his family back to Southport where he could be close to his mother. The timing was perfect, we were just getting started when Gary came to talk to me. I needed a Chef with the same goals and ambitions that I had to make our restaurant a success. We started off with just the basics and have grown into one of Southport's best family oriented restaurants.
